Running down the Portugese Trade Winds. 39:51.19N 010:02.08W

All is well aboard the good ship Tioram.  We have just enjoyed an special afternoon running down the Portuguese coast towards Lisbon with 20+ knots of wind behind us surfing down the waves.

Tony’s comment in the log says it all – “boat beautifully balanced – Bob Marley playing”

We have the genoa poled out which gives her great balance and a maximum surf of 12.1kts.  No one can claim this best speed record except Mr Autopilot.

We have just had a great supper out in the cockpit and have now shortened sail for the night – still making a good 7/8kts.

We have sailed 688miles from Falmouth and have 66 miles to run to our next waypoint off Lisbon and then to Cabo de Sao Vincente and south-east to Gibraltar.

Love to friends and family

Tina, Tony, John and Rob
