6th – 10th Jan

Well Hi again,

The last blog we did was in Mustique as we were thinking of leaving the next day to head to the sleepy Tobago Cays.

Well do you remember the words from the film Jaws, ‘Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water’…..well just as we had settled on deck relaxing for a lazy evening to watch the sunset a 52 m/ 600 ton motor yacht lifted its anchor as it was swinging too close to another huge motoryacht and in the darkness strayed into the buoyed field, narrowly missing the moored yachts!!

It was a pretty scary incident, the motor yacht came into the moorings and into the designated area, they over ran the anchor collection by quite a distance and the deck hand looked very anxious as he ‘commed’ with the helm. All fairly nail biting stuff for all the yachts on buoys until the huge boat backed away and anchored at the far end of the beach away from the bouys.

My thoughts afterwards strayed to ‘Why didn’t we buy a camper van instead’ and  ‘should have married a boring guy who liked dominos and kite flying instead’——–hmmmm !!

And so we sailed a couple of days later for the Tobago Cays (no where near Tobago) approx. 25-30 miles south of St Vincent in the Grenadines.

Love Tina and Tony x x
