Palma, Mallorca. 21st –22nd September 2011. 39:33.94N 002:37.96E

We lifted anchor from Palma Nova bay on 21st September and sailed the 7 n miles to Palma in a balmy 9 knots of wind.
Approaching Palma from the sea is a very nice with the panoramic bay opening up to uncover the large commercial and yachting/ mega yacht harbour with the backdrop of the Cathedral.
We got a good berth in a marina and set off to explore Palma.
It was Jackie and John’s first time in the city and they really liked it.  We visited the Cathedral and old town.  The city has a vibrant atmosphere, some great period architecture and lovely public spaces.
For photos and information/ history of the city, cathedral and old town please see last years blog —(17th-20th Sept 2010).
