At 12 noon on 25th sept we left Vathy waterfront, lifted the mainsail and motor sailed out of the bay.
The course from Ithaka to Meganisi nearly always puts us on a beam reach with the NW predominant wind direction……and we weren’t disappointed. Engine off.
In light winds with occasional gusts Tioram skipped along under full sail.
We arrived in Port Atheni, dropped the sails and made our way into the bay and our favourite spot stern to the shoreline.
In late season, the sea temp was fab, evening star gazing and calm overnight
